Sparrowhawk nearly caught me out, it flew in over the hedge low and fast and then decided to land on our fence and pose before heading off............

I love these little guys .they dart around so fast trying to capture other small birds , mice ,squirrel,s.

Given the unexpected nature of this shot I suppose it might be regarded as a "grab shot" which makes it all the more remarkable: excellent detail and colours, and captured in fine detail.
