That's a grand old tree and a great composition!
Super image. You must have worked on this. Love the sepia tone and what looks like a slight solarization process. Well done...John

Quote: ...plus a bit of firkling...
Can't beat a bit of firkling, Keith Very well firkled if I may say so.
Great processing Keith - nothing like a good firkle!

Brilliantly capture Keith cracking work---------Milky

Well done Keith. WesternRed.
Great work - Super Image!!
Textures and tones work well .
Firkled to perfection with the textures and toning.
Love what you did to the image, well done great image
Adrian.....I don't think they're Oak trees ?.......there's something 'different' about them, all the main trunks are
growing in a spiral fashion, & being in a very exposed position have suffered badly over the years, but they are
clearly VERY old trees, & full of 'character' !!!!.......I'll look into it a bit deeper & see what I can find out !!
Thanks for your interest...Keith
Great bit of Firkling, to get this great image Keith.
we are both on trees at the moment but you are such a clever firkler.
A great scene and fantastic effect, a wonderful image. - gary
Cracking trees Keith - nice one

oh so beautiful!
flippin good firkling.
Beautiful image, Keith, superbly processed ... Carol
I've been close to some of these trees at Croft Castle, Keith!
They were covered in a pink fabric, at the time!!
An excellent image!
Adrian......I've discovered the trees are 'Spanish Chestnuts'......& the spiral growth is typical of this species !!!!
****.......Yes, I remember seeing them covered in Pink stuff too......something to do with an 'arts' festival or some such ?????
Lovely processing and detail.................one of those shots you could sit and look at for a bit.
Firkling translates to fettling in Lancs speak! Work well.
The subject matter really suits this treatment Keith. Love it. Yes I would go with fettling too!!! Paul
A wonderful image and the textures really suit the subject. I like it a lot.
Great shot, reminds me of a scene from 'The Lord Of The Rings'.
I like the shapes of those trees and the treatment you've applied
