I've been going through some older images on my hard drive - it's always interesting to find a few gems that once were dismissed. This is taken on the day when I shot Munch? - I'm Not Impressed. I think there are a few others from that day that are also worth working on.

Thanks for looking today,

Anne

Special thanks to Walter (gajewski) for his UA on the image Release - very much appreciated.

The painting in the image is Evening on Karl Johan (Aften På Karl Johan)- by Edvard Munch completed in 1892.

I love the way you have the lady as part of the image.
Poor Munch must have been a tortured soul to see the world like this.

Dark.... mysterious....enough to make you scream. Wonder what the lady's thinking. Has to be mono.

Just love the juxtaposition Anne, almost blending reality with art. Mono encapsulates this !

Had a quick double-take to make sure she wasn't part of the painting. Excellent placement and processing, Anne.

This is excellent. The contrast between the older woman and the strangers from different ages is wonderful. And so right in b/w.

Thanks for the reminder of the earlier upload, which was a classic.
This works in a totally different way. This is about interaction and communication, the colour image was about the lack of it!
I like them both equally.
And a wonderful model of course in both... Wink

It's the inclusion of the lady on the lower RH side which really makes this for me. Pity perhaps Munch didn't have the same idea and she certainly gives a slightly lighter feel to the whole! TongueWink

The natural demeanour of the included figure serves rather to emphasise the almost zombie-like expressions of Munch's subjects. Such a strong contrast - and perfect b&w.

Very clever and witty. The eye travels from left to right and initially the mind says 'whats going on' its a painting but then catches up with the lady on the right and that moment of realization makes you smile. The relationship between the woman and the painting is totally engaging.
Superb Anne.
