It's not often that I construct photo-merge composition, simply because they can be me somewhat awkward to get them how you want them. Any once I began to understand the basic concepts (see Garden Sunset) I then began trying with moire complicated views. This particular photo-merge was constructed from 16 frames, consisting of two twos of 8 set , with my camera orientated in the land scape mode. This proved quite tricky, but with the use of a sturdy tripod and a little patience, I finally grabbed the picture from reality and put into my camera. It was taken from the Marine Dockyard, where a local commune of river people live throughout the year. Some work in the city, some simply work from the land, while others pass their days away by painting or throwing pots. After capturing the images a lot of processing work was needed to get everything looking as straight as possible. Hope you like/

A great shot of life on the river. Beautifully composed. Well done. WesternRed.
Well Nathan, you have put in the work and achieved an excellent result, this is a great panorama.
Regards
Trev.
I do like the format you have used: it forces the eye to work across the frame and take it the details one by one, while stepping back (visually) provides a broad vista. The vista here has depth - follow the squiggly channel in the mud to the main river - while the main interest is contained between the two groups of red gas cylinders and the focal point of the red dinghy is perfectly placed.
Well thought-out and extremely well put together. The intro is clear and informative and your presentation superb.
Regards
Bill
nice pano too much like hard work for me, but well joined

Think of those days when some body carried a Leica hidden in his pocket.Took all the frames un noticed by the security people. And presented a full picture of wedding ceremony .No photo shop No computer.
You have mastered montage . Alas I could be your student.
This is good, i would never have guessed the work that went into it. At first i thought a wide angled shot cropped to a panoramic view, but then when you look at the detail you realised it is a bit more than this. The detail is great, one day i might get to grips with this sort of work, but in the meantime im still learning how to work my camera,,
Glad to make this 30,very clever work, well done..Lin
Fantastic image, exceptionally well done, I like this a lot ![]()

A lot of work and effort went into producing this image... Nicely constructed and thought out
Like the full description too..... Great end result
Great shot Nathan
Good to learn how you achieved this.
I have a little dabble at multiple shots stitched together but this is epic.

You have made a fine panoramic image from these multiple shots, Nathan: I sympathise with the comments you make up top and the difficulties to be overcome.......I have experienced the self same problems.
But your result here is so well "put together" that on first inspection I was unaware of what you had achieved, not realising that the image possibly covers a 180 degree sweep or more.
Very well done.
Ronnie.
