About Me

John O'neill

I live and work in Birmingham and love the city.I was born in Dublin Ireland and came on the banana boat back in 1991 to train .My photography started in 1984 when I started taking images with an old Yashica TL-Electro built from spare parts by my guru Cormac Maloney(he is somewhere on Ephotozine but quite elusive).
The highlight of my photography was winning an honourable mention in Nikon Photo Competetion International 2000.I have also had my work published in Amateur Photographer and Practical Photography magazine.
My full time occupation is a mental health nurse and some of my images reflect society in which we live today
