I know this place has been photographed to death but it was the first time I've ever been to Dorset so it had to be done!

We had a fantastic trip up to the point when some thieving little toad stole my camera bag with all of my equipment from the pub while we were eating a few feet away after just 2 days. Turns out he is a Officer in the army base in Lulworth! I'll post his name and photo on here if I ever find it out. Anyway that was the end of that but I had managed to get a few great shots up to that point.

Hope you like it.
Ian.

Lovely shot. So sorry your first visit to Dorset was spoilt by the theft of your camera bag. Hope you had insurance and that you`ve managed to replace what you lost. Also hope it does`t put you off a return trip!

I think you've done a great job this is a superb shot you have managed to keep some great detail on the rock. And I love the motion of the water.

Andy.

Great shot, lovely water. Sorry you lost your gear. If you are certain its an officer from the Lulworth base, I suggest you speak to the camp commander and ask him to help. Ann

Thanks Ann.
Yes he was an officer - we found out because he was staying overnight at the Lulworth Cove Inn and we got it all on CCTV. As he was resident the Inn had his name and address - result! Anyway, my gear is apparently at some police station in Wales awaiting safe return, thanks to the efficiency of Wareham police. I will certainly be speaking to the camp though.

Jenny - no it certainly won't put us off a return trip. In fact we're planning it already!

Thanks for all your comments.
Ian.

Lovely image of one of my favourite places. Sorry you had such a bad experience and I am glad they caught the culprit. Glad it didn't put you off coming to Dorset. I had many lovely holidays in Dorset and two years ago decided to move here and I love it.
