taken from the summit of Mam tor at sunrise generally in a south easterly direction

i liked the way the light from the rising sun was illuminating the drifting mist.

not so easy on camera, it took a little coaxing back from the raw to achieve what i had seen.

big may be better

The layered effect combined with the magical mist make this mesmerizing, I've been looking at it for ages.
Unfortunately, I couldn't climb a mountain to feast on scenes like thisTongue, and so will enjoy your picture instead.

thanks Pamela.
mam tor isnt such a challange, might make your heart beat fast but its even had the route to the summit paved to protect the ancient settlements that were scattered over it from erosion by the millions of feet that make the ascent each year

thats the beauty of the peak district, most places are actually much more accesable than you would imagine
