...Buachaille Etive Mor in it's winter cloak, a burst of sunlight touching the tip, the blue tunnel of Glen Etive to the left.
Edit***Reworked from the other day.
It's a landscape that I've never visited but I feel I know every tuft of reeds through your uploads.
Your title is perfect for the image. Intensely cold yet visually intensely enticing.
Just a tad warmer overall than Blue Heaven, two images back, but only just as the sun rises that wee bit higher.
But the cold still seeps out of the screen......so off to make a cuppa
Think Ronnie has summed this up well Dougie
It's interesting the different feel you can generate from the same image. Wonderfully atmospheric Dougie.
Oh to live round here ... Super photo of a beautiful area ... I know it well.
Lovely sky and like the touch of light, cracker!
Gorgeous shot, Dougie. That touch of light really helps to distinguish the peak in this wonderfully wintry scene.
Simply beautiful Dougie. .......Sandy
Not sure that I can tell the difference Dougie but it is still just as good.
I agree with Ronnie, a touch warmer but still looks good.
Even better than the last version Dougie; that peak is now gloriously luminous.
A beautifully thoughtful title, which for me sums up the piece so very well. A real pleasure to both view and admire Dougie.
Gorgeous picture but I bet it was cold taking this shot
A great day to be there
Amazing photography Dougie, a real joy to see
Lovely stuff !!!.....the changes are noticable, & add a bit more 'body' & 'oomph' to the scene !!!!!
Looks chilly...but very beautiful Dougie.
Beautiful cold landscape looks so good to me, in Australia very hot with lots of bush fires. Wonderful images love it Dougie.
Many Thanks to Ann, Plucktfilly for your award and kind comment
& to nicktg for your award too.
Beautiful capture of this special place Dougie, you just have to be careful walking over the moor to get this type of shot, not the first time I have ended up waist deep in snow. Beautifully done my friend, hope you are well. Bill
Thanks for the concern Bill, but I have to be honest, I was sitting on the front bumper of the car when I took this shot.
I thought the previous version was very good but I think this is an improvement as there is more definition in the mountains and general detail.
I was there yesterday and the remaining snow looks pretty patchy compared to this image.
Oh yes! Brilliant!
The rework is where its at Dougie...sat on your bumper or not I would have swapped places to this view....took my wife up this last time last year because she wanted to see the snow - all we got was fog n mist for 4 days apart from one day when we passed through the Glen on a bus - the drive kindly stopped for me to take a shot from aside the road
