Dance in the Woods :View 2
This is a sepia version or my previous image, "Dance in the Woods", as requested by many. You may be happy to know that the "big wind" blew the ghosts home-- clear blue skies for a few hours -- snow expected for Saturday!
And HUGE THANK YOUS to John (jdonne) and Ronnie (RonnieAG) for their inspiring UA awards for the previous image--
and to Walter for V2!

The longer I gaze at this image, the more it reaches me at a visceral level. It is pulling me in and imparting a certain calm. There are certainly technical aspects to this shot that I really like but the art aspect is what is so award worthy here.

My daughter also wrote in her mail about the bad weather at Ithaca. I suggested her to go for some SNOWTOGRAPHS.
It works, because the sepia is cold and organic-looking.
Moira
Wonderful image, the sepia toning really works well
Hugh
Even better than the last, wonderful tone and natural vignette, Jenn.
Dave
I agree this is better but both excellent Jenn.

If you feel scared going to these woods, I'll come along and hold your hand, Jenn. (Then I won't feel so nervous either.
)
We could try singing, 'If you go down to the woods today, you're in for a big surprise...'
Seriously mystical woodland scene, full of forboding and making one cautious about venturing further in.
Call me an old scaredy cat if you will...
Malc
Much spookier and has bags more impact and atmosphere in b&w
