I uploaded this in colour in 2009
I rarely if ever converted to mono in those days
Thought it would make a good one for Shadow Saturday
Many thanks to Andy for his User Award for In the sink yesterday
Bright and sunny here today - hope you all have a good weekend ![]()

Prefer the mono, Helen, and two cracking titles ![]()

The cast shadow is great - a bike with grander ideas of its worth ![]()

Bicycles provide fascinating and detailed shadows - this is an excellent example. Love the oval rear wheel ![]()

Clever composition, low pov and sideways angle allow the image to occupy the frame fully.
B&W allows us to see that more easily I think, it allows lines and structures to dominate.
Moira
Very strong shadow Helen, one of the best today, like the mono conversion.

Trev.
You can tell how out of touch I am - I didn't know of shadow Saturdays... This sells the concept brilliantly Helen.

I always think bike shadows look great, and with this shadow against the brick wall, it's even greater
.
Thanks everyone - Pamela I remember one particular bike shadow of you too ![]()

I like this because the shadows shows elements of the bike we otherwise wouldn't see...like the shock absorber under the cross-bar.
Good idea to do this as b&w...it works so well, Helen.
Malc
You certainly have an eye for a good looking shadow Helen. A very good image that suits the mono processing.
