The small wood between the two main fields at Prestbury Hill Nature Reserve near Cheltenham a week last Monday when there was over a foot of snow on the ground.

You have taken full advantage of the snowy misty conditions this winter, Ed, and have captured a huge series of fine shots, this being another: a like your composition here and again the B and W presentation adds to the sense of extreme chilliness in the air.

So cool how this looks almost like a mono, Ed Smile I love the 'layers' of trees and the various shades (not quite 50, though) of grey.

Woods are mysterious places, especcially on days like this, Ed. Have you considered a dramatic b&W version of this? Think it would really work well.

Once again the B&W presentation is adding greatly to these winter shots Ed, though I'm beginning to feel a hankering to see just one in colour for comparison's sake!
