This was the shot on Saturday evening that had me convinced the tide was actually coming in rather than retreating ... needless to say, I didn't last long in this spot
Another from Llanddwyn Island, just as the sun began to poke from under the cloud bank for a brief while.
Cheers for your support on the previous two, I hope you like this one too ... thanks for getting to here
Beautiful image, nice presentation
Superbly done Paul
Wonderful shot the water really does look like its rushing throught the gap at a real pace.
Really extremely well handled exposure and wonderful end result. Beautiful work..Jo
Very nice lovely action in the foreground regards aj
GREAT SHOT. Eye catching colourful Image, well togged and well presented.
Good work this.
Thanks all, have a great day!!!
it pretty much has everything ticked in my boxes, probably your best this year IMHO, cracking capture mate
Great light across a fine composition Paul, the little traces o colour along the edges of the wet boulders are quite superb.
Cheers Rich, fine compliment mate.
Thanks too Dougie, nearly didn't recognise you then with you recent name change
Yes a superb seascape Paul.Exceptional.
super work as always
my pleasure........but then I forgot about the suffolk/norfolk shots so I'm not sure now
Well with so many Exceptional image's under your belt so far this year, this is at the top of the list for me
What an Exhilarating image mate,
Full of power and Excitement so gets my Award mate,,
Perfectly Timed capture and well done for being a brave boy
A great photograph.
Warm regards, Iain.
Like the foreground details and water movement - good tones in this sky - excellent work Paul.
This is really nice Paul, great low light tones and great motion of the sea captured. Very nice.
This really is just spot on!! WOW.
Great colours, comp and exposure RC!!!!! and more to come
What an amazing capture,great exposure
Quote: Really extremely well handled exposure and wonderful end result. Beautiful work
could not agree more..
A wonderful shot and i love the way you have captured the water lapping over the F/G rocks.
Well captured and composed with great detail and tones.
Up close and personal with Mother nature, brave man Paul but it was worth it, superb capture.
Would like to have seen the clouds have a tweak more contrast in them just to give it a bit more punch and balance up with those wonderful boulders in the F/G but that is just my opinion, honest, plus want to get back on your Christmas card list
Top notch work - excellent result
I love the lacy feel of water over those front rocks Paul and that gorgeous sunset sky. Excellent indeed. helen
Quote: plus want to get back on your Christmas card list
You've got a long way to go there Stewart ...
Personally I'm happy that the levels in the shot represent the available conditions, tweaking the sky isn't a concern for me as there wasn't a great deal of definition in those clouds - just boring whispy ones Had there been some nice big Cumulus clouds then maybe.
Thanks everyone for your time and great comments ... glad you all like this one too
PS: Cheers for the award Ian

You've got a long way to go there.
Ok how about a few jars of Theakstons Old Peculiar?
Warmer ... getting warmer
Always thought you were a bit wet lol
Like it mate
PMSL ... oops, there I go again
Tis a beauty alright and dare I say has a touch of another Paul who shoots seascapes.
Maybe in subject Les ... but I'm far more daring than him
Nice light when it arrived for you mate!
Brief ... but quite nice matey
Great shot...Awesome water movement....great light...Sandy
Thanks Sandy, glad you think so to
Truely wonderful shot... colour, movement - it has it all. Great job!
Thank you Andy
This is HORRIBLE !!! mate...........
Horribly perfect........, I need the secret mate, cant wait any longer, Tell, Tell, Tell.....LOL.
Just composed > metered > set exposure > gradded > added 2 stop ND > shoot ... job done
Oh, almost forgot to say ... sh*t meself after huge wave nearly swept me off my feet > hastily moved to higher ground > put filters and camera away > retreated over precarious rocks > set up somewhere safer
That's about it ... apart from a liberal sprinking of the Warehouse Express photographic pixie dust that is
Love the light touching the rocks and great timing with the wave. bet u got wet
edit: just read your last post, you got wet
Just a touch Gary, just a touch
extremely difficult conditions to take a shot!! Well done, Paul! Very well done! And INTO the sun! Well handled exposure!
Not what i had hoped for but its a start....lol

Very very nice Paul, love the water flying through the gap and the light bouncing off the rocks.
Stunning image, Tony
Thank you guys for your time, means a lot
That water does seem to be coming at a fair pace, hope the library card was ok,
Rather good indeed, funny how we are never ready for that bigger wave!!
LOL, took some books out today Chris ... seems okay
Oh I was ready photographically and captured most of them Martin ... just not quite as prepared for how far up my leg a couple went
Now that's a big compliment coming from your good self MrM ... CHEEEEEEEEERS!!!
Special is this
Thanks Phil and a big cheers for your UA too mate
Terrific, certainly well worth getting soaked for...
Certainly was Helen ... the jeans and boots came out fine too
Amazing capture Paul!!! Very nice light and lovely movement in the water too.

Superb, worth all the plaudits and awards ...and more
Wow, cheers you lot. Truly surprised [but made-up] at how this one has gone down so far
Thanks Tarek and also to Kristijonas for your UA
A very good composition Paul, great water movement & the rest has already been said !
I didn't know you could run that fast !!
Light on me feet when needed Janet
Nicely timed, the colours are gorgeous and the spray in the fg adds so nicely to the over feel of the shot too
Brilliant Paul, I thout it was one of Paul Morgans from the thumbs
Yes, the subject does somewhat tend to be sympathetic with MrM's work ... but I got wet for this one, so he can't have it
Again, sublime image, immaculate timing, exceptional colours and composition. A joy to look at.
Thank you Ian, glad you like it too!!!
