Good Morning Folks,

I hope you all have the same sunny weather as us up norf today. Looks like it's goning to be a fine beach day Smile
This is the third offering from our Talacre fest the other night. This is the just the colour version of a previous upload. It was a hard choice betwen the two of which I would upload and the mono won at first but I still really like this one.
It's a HDR of 3 from the AEB function, slapped together in photomatix, tone mapped, then tweaked in PS to sort the colour and exposure out. Seems my cokin filters and the 40D encourage a pink cast (wierd cos my old trusted 350D didn't suffer this curse!) Maybe I need to adjust my white balance bracketing. I made a wishy washy attempt at this last night but the manual may as well have been written in Greek.
Anyway, hope you like it.
I'm off to throw some clothes on the kids and find me a spot of beach to cultivate.
Have a good day, thanks for looking.
Mand.x.

Love it. Would like to have seen the original before all the manipulation though as I feel sure it must have been impressive anyway.

What an amazing photo, very, very good! Love, Mandi

Nice shot .. there are some issues with Cokin filters on the 40D in terms of colour cast by the way ... I would recommend shifting to Lee as I beleive thats the only current solution .. a few people using the Cokin filters on the 40D have experienced the same problems ...

Love this shot, the HDR has worked well as the result is very subtle compared to many others. love those ripples, feels like im getting sucked into the image !

Great light in this. I too used to get a pink cast with Cokin (P) filters, now just rely on multiple exposures with the 10-20mm and the filters are collecting dust. Which size Cokin filters are you using, I seem to recall it being mentioned that the Z series were better? (or of course Lee).

I wonder if you could have been slightly lower to use the sand ripples more and lose some of the open water, but then the downside is you also lose the full reflection of the lighthouse...

Ant.

This is simply STUNNING!!!!
The foreground detail is amazing and the post processing is top notch!
