Been after a decent poppy field for a while now, and have now discovered one!
The sky on Saturday evening wasn't really great for wide shots, so got the long zoom out and concentrated more on details. Quite hard to get sharp as was pretty breezy, but this seems OK.
Loved these 3 backlit poppies, with their backdrop of more poppies behind. I think it's sufficiently different from the usual poppy shots. Has a bit of a 70's flake advert feel to this I think.... maybe!

Bloody brilliant Martin. I didn't think we had poppies like this in Sheffield, I've never found a field like it!

Beautiful warm tones across this lovely meadow full of poppies. You can feel the heat and hear the buzz of insects in the air.

Totally deserved, this is a terrific shot. It's actually what inspired me to go out in search of poppies the other night. Even if I'd had the light though, I'm sure I wouldn't have got anywhere near producing this. Just awesome, nice one.
