Wasn't sure whether to bother uploading this one because it needs to be big to appreciate the textures and colours. But it fits in with the other shots I've taken around the inlet - when I started out I was trying to convey the special charm I feel here, and this shot is part of that.

Houseboat! Cool, whereabouts, Cairns? That does sound a laugh. I'm in Brisbane - Been thinking about moving north for yonks but Brisbane keeps me busy though the north would have better photography opportunities if I can ever move away from design!
Wonderful textures and tones Nic, well spotted.
It's a shame you haven't got a good excuse to come back Nic! I take my camera everywhere, even round the corner to the post box! If you would like to contact me my e-mail address is mary@maryashton.fsnet.co.uk
Regards.

Hello Nic, you are so right it needs the large shot to appreciate the colours and fibres which are so vivid and interesting. Great camera work.
Doug.
Morning Nic. I promise I will try some landscapy shots as soon as I get the wide angle the ones I have done are really boring and BAD quality, the Fuji fixed lens is awful for landscapes and actually I am not very good at Landscapes LOL But I will practice because I know people would like to see more of the whole picture
Hope yr well
lol

Another good one Nic... love the textures and the almost monochromatic (my what a long word) effect.... thanks for your words about my Brother... luckily he didn't suffer and all in all it was very quick... some cancer patients go through hell. He didn't.
Much love
David
Morning Nic, thanks for the translation ,as I said to someone I really need to get that Idiots Guide to computers LOL, still deciding on the camera, the DSLR's sound awfully technical, maybe I should just upgrade to the Fuji 7000 as it has the 6 mil pixels and takes Nikon lenses, very user freindly too, and most of all is much cheaper LOL Take care, look forward to more of your work..
