Lovely informal portrait... I would have been tempted to crop loser and take out the hand on the shoulder but... a lovely image.

Well thanks for your comments - but I actually think the hand makes the image.
Lovely candid portrait. I agree about the hand too..the contact between the subject and whoever it is just out of frame add's intimacy.
Thanks for your comments folks. The photo was taken to shot the hand actually and it belongs to the girl.
right on man fight for your image. I like it ....well done and welcome to Ephotozine
Got to hand it to you this is a lovely shot capturing the girls thoughtful but somewhat distant look.
Welcome to Epz Nick.
Great shot! Excellent expression. Personally I'd like to see more of the hand.
You've captured the girl beautifully - lovely tones to the skin. The hand portrays a sense of security to her, which works well for me
Excellent first post Nick. Welcome to the site and see you at the Wirral Meet hopefully.
Such a beautiful young girl and such a good capture with an excellent exposure.
This one's very personal for me. You've just reminded me of my home...and here I was enjoying Toronto's first 22 degree celsius spring weekend! Grrrrr!! LOL...just kidding...lovely image Nick. She's such an angel.
Beautiful candid shot. Superbly captured. Paul
Lovely candid portrait, I like the crop
Excellent Portrait! Paul.
Quote: but I actually think the hand makes the image.
Bravo Nick! As Orric says - 'fight for your image'. No-one can argue wtih that - Welcome to EPZ!!
Fantastic shot. Well done. =)
Superb, just to agree the hand is important. As she holds on to a friend/mother, it shows the subtle vulnerability of the girl. Excellent.
Hope to see you Nick at the Wirral meet.
The young lady's expression has been so well caught - a lovely image. I think it would work both cropped and as is. Nice one. Bruce
So simple, I really like it!
