I hope this looks OK on here, it may get lost in the thumbs !!. Its a rework of an old image, one which I didn't do justice to at the time .. a couple of years on, new processing techniques this is how I envisaged it at the time.
I have always enjoyed quality still life's, after seeing years ago the work of Bob Carlos Clarke in one of the photo magazines. Whilst most will associate him with his stark erotic nudes, I was equally drawn to his still lifes, he produced from finds along the banks of the Thames. I still rate Bob Carlos Clarke as one of the photographers I most admire, a dark twisted genius, sadly no longer with us.
I found this old box / container, far from pristine - perfect. Into it with the help of Janet (Chase) I added finds from Grosmonts breaking yard, what I love is the textures it has produced.

It needs a light bulb Nick.
That stylist on the day was a right fussy so and so, every time you tweaked it she told you off, wouldn't hire her again, mind you it was cheap labour, hear she is into styling prams, teddies and building blocks nowadays, bit of a come down from those big train toys, but I suppose times are hard.

Textures very satisfying. What really makes it work for me is the random double-width niches.
A super photo and a texture and presentaion that make you want to reach out and touch the items - super.
Beautifully toned and detailed Nick.
I went to a Bob Carlos Clarke exhibition in Fort Lauderdale, California back in the early 90's. The images (mainly nudes) were sensational.
