I thought long and hard about uploading this to EPZ. Its not the type I typically post here, anyway here goes.
I think this is brilliant!!
Anyone I know in the case?
It works for me - excellent!
There's no 'arm' in it.
Excellent creativity and photography Nick. The subtle expression on the models face is really good. Beautifully processed as well.
Thanks for the comments
It's good, really good. The arch expression is the main thing. To my mind just the trickle of blood from the suitcase, no hand, would be darker as less obvious. I shall look at my own suitcases slightly differently in future.
Good concept well worked Nick.
Chilling image Nick.
Its the expression.
That side long look, brilliant!
I much prefer this this to the rather more fussy set ups. More enigmatic. we have to make up the story ourselves with this one.
Great bg Nick, well put together !
Thanks everyone . Janet recognise that background ?
Big thanks Willie for the User Award. I'm glad you picked up on the expression, it's something Letty and I worked on for some time, as this was exactly the expression I wanted. Processing this was relatively straight forward, but the little finesses took ages to get right.
That is quite chilling!
Very creative work. She has the psycho look down pat. Brilliant!
Quirky, characterful, brilliantly 'executed' for want of a better word. Glad you did post, it's excellent work!
I don't even think it needs the knife Nick ........... a truly brilliant image and proof that less can indeed be so much more
Great idea. Daves right about the knife. The only thing that bugs me because everything has to hang true for me, is that the case is shut but a hand is hanging out. Twenty years of being paid to spot what is 'off' makes me a bit pedantic.
Now if the case was half closed on this side with an arm poking through
Everything else is spot on. ....actually after reading the sign on the wall this could have been so much darker.
Thanks everyone, and a big thaks Pete for the sticker.
Dave / Keith I actually tried this without the knife / hand as that was the image I had in mind. The problem is it just looked empty. But I take your point The message on the wall is there for a reason Keith so it may be much darker.
One constraint I have is Letty (the model) has to be completely happy with the image as she wants a print. Although this was never going to be anything other than disturbing.
At some stage I'm wanting to do more images that challange, make you think...
..now typing this I know what I need to do to this, but boy is that disturbing.. (god knows what Freud would make of it)
Oh and Keith I dont care if its pedantic or not I much prefer that type of reply
Do you want some splatter patterns?
Brilliant, a great reward for all the work you put in. Super shot!
Thanks everyone thanks Ken for the User Award much appreciated
Quote: Do you want some splatter patterns?
Yes please Keith
Had to have my Badge Nick.
Big thanks Tom
I see you've met the wife then
Well done on the award Nick....
Congrats on the EC Nick.
needs a leg hangin out to balance the weight of the suitcase
