No I don't do flowers Wink

I'm just experimenting getting a few processing techniques in place for another project.

The milk bottle is one that my grandfather used in the 1950's (he was a dairy farmer).

And "Brian" found his way in with the Roses, so he stayed.

I wanted to evoke the charm of a rustic farmhouse feel, old world charm of the roses " warts and all" put in a receptacle that was at hand.

The vote's for the inclusion of the snail, and the patience in getting Brian to pose - they can move remarkably fast when you want them to sit still...

It's a superb still life - I'm not a lover of snails, but I'll make an exception for Brian!

A fine example of still life, which and I am sure many other can only dream about capturing.

Brian is a star, inspired using him Nick.

Imagehas a touch of the Janet's about it, which is meant as a huge complement.

Thanks Les that's certainly a compliment although ive still a lot to learn to get to that level. Although I learned a lot (more in the image taking than the processing). No doubt Janet will have other issues with I haven't even considered yet.

The image is more as a stepping stone to bring colour into my DM work, the texture is one I've been using quite a bit in my mono DM's.
