First sorry for anyone that saw this for the fleeting moment it was up earlier..I spotted something I couldn't live with.
Thanks to all who were at Grosmont over the weekend some great company.
OK yes I've invested in the anorak!
This is Peter in the yard at Grosmont working at some ridiculous hour - all in his spare time. His day job is a lecturer !
I know it breaks the rules - no eye contact - but I like it - It says everything about the pride these guys have in their work.
Works for me love the atmosphere
Well composed and yes guys are superb, they are so dedicated
I like it too and agree with layts re the atmosphere - unusal and different - excellent work!
Beautifully captured Nick and it was nice meeting you yesterday and yep im hooked too,,,
This is good Nick really like the light in this.
Never mind investing in the anorak, get some more batteries LOL
great capture and light
LOL - seen this somewhere before...
Looks even better here - fabulous light on him and the depth of field adds an impressionist touch to the working environment .
Never as an high vis vest looked so cool ;D
Quote: LOL - seen this somewhere before...
Agree with Caleb, looks better here, and I did wonder how long it would take for you to talk yourself into posting this
It's a very original shot from here, there is no denying that. Never mind just the originality, you also have him highlighted in all the right places and a lovely depth of field to isolate him nicely too. Makes a really refreshing change from the norm. Well done Nick, this deserves a lot of recognition.
cracking shot well taken
Love the way the light catches his arm and the sign.
Great capture of body language. Backs can be just as expressive as faces.
the bak view works so well in this case. great shot with loads of interest
Top shot mate. As Simon says [there's a joke in there somewhere ] it's a refreshingly different view that has been handled very well indeed. The light is just the crowning glory. Deserves to fly on here ... it gets my vote for sure!!!
Hi ho, hi ho, love it
Like your composition the tones in this Nick - well captured.
Looking forward to more of this weekend.
Everything has been said about the light and dof, and I agree that this has a wonderful atmosphere.
Have a RC.
Thanks everyone - thanks Andy
Sometimes people are more interesting when you can't see their faces, I think this guy certainly it
like the title!! made me smile - brill image though - very impressive
excellent Warney, I think you have done it justice
That shot turned out pretty good then, didn't it? The crop you've given it has really enhanced the image too, as well as the warm toning. A cracker, all in all.
Well done Nick, very original and extremely well captured. Good to see you again
Original viewpoint and great light.
Excellent shot Nick, this looks like a great place to visit. Will have to make the trip one day.
nice shot, the out of focus VG adds to the atmosphere
Excellent image, I like the way the light falls on him
Cracking shot. Love the lighting and DoF.
Excellent shot Nick, and the title gave me a laugh.
Couldn't give my award till today, but I still love this one...
Thankyou Moira it is very much appreciated.
The colour and light in this is amazing - Jonathan
