Take one morning at Spurn, very overcast weather, throw in a few strobes.

Your POV has made this machine look incredibly threatening and powerful. Nice work.

You have really emphasised the power of this - a real monster machine shot with a fab sky! My grand daughter would love it too - she's addicted to heavy machinery.

And I never got the camera out of the bag that morning, but remember you setting this one up. You weren't that sure as I remember, but tell you what Nick it's turned out a cracker of an image

Thanks Les, yep you remember right, I just used it for the lighting set up for the future. But I thought I'd see what it looked like in mono and I was shocked.

Sometimes there's only one way to present a subject. Can't fault this.

High impact shot Nick and definitely mean and moody. Fine mono conversion and the sky really does add to the mood. I'd love to see another version with you stood a little more to the left so as to get those wheels on more of an oblique angle.

Moody angle Nick.

Though don't you think that the eye keeps going straight to that odd trailer wheel sticking out, bottom left hand side ?

Kinda interrupts the "menace" , specially with a highlight on it.

Thanks guys.

DaveU good idea, tbh I wasn't going to process this the weather was foul and looked c**p in colour I was only experimenting with strobes. Had I been serious I would have tried a couple of other angles. Les didn't even get his camera out of the car that morning.

Dave (Evisera)

Good point, I meant to get rid of the white patch ( got carried away with rest of image) but I could get rid of the trail or completely.
