From the visit to Saltwick a couple of months ago, this is a different composition from the ones I've uploaded a while back, I hope sufficiently different. After climbing over those rocks I thought I'd better get my moneys worth.
I never did climb those slippery rocks Nick, shame really as I really like this wreck.Love the tones here.
Wet feet! But well worth it for this.
Being really picky mate, I'd like to've seen a higher viewpoint, just so there was full separation between the nab and the wreck ... but top marks for the effort and the overall result.
Seriously Janet I don't recommend it, I won't be doing it Again! Tho I did have my mobile with me this time!
However I was pleased with the images I've got.
Just read Pauls comments: I noticed that when on the screen, but I won't be going back at high tide for a reshoot. I did compose it slightly higher but it was a case of moving tripod legs in the sea, took lots of WD40 to get those legs moving freely after this.
A cracking image, Nick.
Like the details and tones in this Nick - certainly a brave person going out there with the tide on the return.
Do agree with Paul comments re the view point - but still a good capture that not many people will have.
Have a good weekend.
Cracking photo, lovely soft, natural colours.
Its a dangerous place....Wooly and I went when the tide was out....and that was bad enough. So badly slippery....Wooly nearly went over serveral times :o
I like the colours Nick....a great comp.
Lovely shapes and colours.
deserving of the HC, well done Nick, love the composition
Thanks everyone for the kind comments
Does Perils of the Sea refer to your climbing over the rocks or the wreck Nick.
Its good this and well worth its award, congrats mate.
Thanks Les ... the answer to your question is both !
i love the framing of the knab with the twisted steel, superb shot,
Epic! This has a 'land of myths and legends' look about it. Congratulations on the HC, well deserved.
Superb, well done on your awards.
Like the viewpoint, and the way you've composed with the Nab sat in the middle of the twisted metal.
Find the burnt out areas a bit distracting though. But then again, it is the sun, and it is a bright shiny old thing!!LOL
Looks like you did get your moneys worth Nick! My congrat's for your HC.
stunning colours Nick, a lovely image indeed.
Well done Nick, that clambering on those lethal rocks has paid off !
Excellent composition and light.Well taken.
Excellent seascape and excellent choice of composition.
Well done Nick on your HC
I can'tbelive you were there with the sea lapping around!! Well worth it though for the result....and the HC
