First of all I haven't been on site for over a month. A couple of reasons, one being work there has been a lot of pressure of late, in sales at present it's not easy.

But the main reason is I've lost a bit of enthusiasm and recent trips have been a bit fruitless.

anyway this is from a while back, that I got round to processing.

It will take me a while to see what everyone has been upto.

Have you got access to Discovery Realtime? Wednesday from 11pm there's a program called Yorkshire Steam, all based on the NYMR! Was weird seeing this on the tele! Wink

Nicely done Nick - - try not to let work pressures cloud your creative vision, tough, as I well know, but try to use your photography as an escape - - I did just that last night - - and had a wonderful evening Smile

Keep smiling

Interesting, your write-up, because this image hints at pressure, orders, blocked access, stalemate... Excellent composition and processing.
The Tyne valley town of Haltwhistle is supposed to owe its name to similar signs, but that's probably apocryphal.

Best described as a first class piece of work. The atmosphere captured in this shot is superb and really works well for me. I’ve no hesitation giving this shot a click - ticks all the boxes for me. Reading your SP Nick about being in sales at present is not easy - in the real world I’m a big company rep and know the problem well.

Extremely well done and a pleasure to view.

Dave.

Thanks everyone, and Fran, yes we do get Sky and I have seen some of the episodes. Your right went out tonight a great release. Part of the problem is that I'd hit a block in my photography, a break seems to have helped.

Cheers

Nick

Do like this Nick, you have caught some good detail along with the atmosphere and those reflections just finish it off nicely.

I suppose you could call it Photographer's Block, Nick.
So glad you've got pictures like this to fall back on. In a strange way, the title reflects what you have been going through....stop, take a break......whistle, and let your cares subside......walk, get out there and see what opportunities await you.

Superb. There are so many people under pressure at work and I find nothing more relaxing than a couple of hours taking photos. It is an opportunity to concentrate on something else.
