Sorry I haven't been on EPZ all week due to work. I will try to see what you've been upto later. Tho I think my time on EPZ over the next month will be limited for the same reason, shame really just got the bug back !

Thanks to all at the Derbyshire mini meet last weekend, good to see you all. Not much in the way of any worthwhile images, hope you had better, again I will have a look later.

This is from a few weeks back - another Pano but different perspective - hope it doesn't get lost in the thumbs. (Ptgui stitch of 6 images)

As it a true pano Please view large

Well my names not Paul but it looks good to me ... in fact I thought from the thumbnail that it was a Sut68 Special. It's subtle rather than whizz-bang which suits me fine.

Got to hit this one with an award straight off. A wonderful image.
Well done.
Graham

As a pano it does look good mate and it's been well stitched, possibly not as sharp as I might've expected in the large version but that's only a minor thing though.

As I wasn't there I can't comment on how representative of the conditions it was, but my eye struggles a little with the light patch of mist right in the middle of the shot ... I'm assuming that it was like that but it just seems to stand out a little, though not unduly so.

Good work though, don't get me wrong, I'm just nitpicking mate - you wouldn't expect owt less would you? Wink

No no problems Paul, thanks for the feedback - the mist is as it was, I think it was so bright as it cought the first rays of the sun - I actually toned it down and it didn't look quite right so reverted to the original. I don't mind nitpicking in the slightest its attention to detail - I will get there! As for the stitching I found the 24-70 much easier than the 10-20 - there were no misalignments and no obvious stitch intersections, having said that I do pay particular attention to ensuring everything is level, again thanks to a tip from you, so no I don't mind.

I assumed that the mist was catching the early light, you can actually make out where it dissipates and clears more to the right in the distance. The 10-20mm is not ideal for panos - unless you go more to the 20mm end, though that said, I have had a lot of success going wider Smile

Have a good weekend mate,
Paul

Cheers Paul, it was your pano's of Crosby that inspired me to give it a try, I have done them at 10mm but you have to be spot on and often "bank" images.

Cheers

Your patience and dedication to doing panos is IMO paying off Nick. We both know the conditions were not the best that morning but this does represent everything about the scene as you have portrayed it.
A wonderful pano that deserves to do well.

Like this as a pano Nick - some great foreground details and lovely morning tones too. Good to see some good feedback too.

This is a very nice letterbox image. The colours in the sky are sublime and the tree is perfectly positioned.
