From a few weeks back, the light for the Sunrise was a disappointment, so I started to look for things a little different, I decided on an extreme wide angle as close to the ground as I could muster.
Then gave it a mono treatment..for a change
Superb, gret in mono

Glad you did a mono for a change Nick
Well worth a large view...and getting D&D for
Excelent shot - great processing !
Stunning mono work.
Like your POV and the mono conversion is excellent.
Good mono Nick would not expect anything else and as Richard says a good POV
Excellent shot Nick, great angle and PP.
Another beauty Nick. The low angle and lens distortion creates a really powerful image.
I was a bit disappointed by Spurn when I went there earlier in the year. Some bits were lovely but other bits looked like a knackered council estate! I think the main cause of my disgruntlement was that after driving for two hours, I couldn't get a cup of tea!
This works brilliantly! Love it!
The march of the juggernauts. Love this, it makes a monster out of something so ordinary.
The viewpoint works well Nick, great mono conversion too.
Thanks everyone and a big thankyou Pete
When I saw this I knew it had to be yours, Nick - the quality's excellent...especially large. You must give some lessons on how to do these! Amazing.
Good low angle here Nick & the mono treatment works well with the subject.
Well done...an HC too
Congrats on your HC Nick...
Hope all is good with you and yours
Thanks Janet & Alley, and yes Alley we are all well tho its a bit like ships in the night at the moment.
Trevor thanks for the compliments but I've still a lot to learn about monos.
For a change....LOL! Good work Nick, congrats
Good choice of viewpoint , get them while you can as it gets more difficult to scrabble around on the ground as you get older.
From one who knows....
Actually getting down is Ok but getting up again is a killer
Excellent pov and details Nick.
what a brilliant shot. great angle great picture.terry
this is gorgeous
Great viewpoint. Congratulations on the HC.
Looks cool Nick - excellent conversion, congrat's for your HC!
Monster mono Nick - love it! Is it a single RAW? Great conversion once again and congrats on another HC.
No Howard its a HDR, I think 5 Images 1 stop apart (I would need to check) The main problem here was the sky blues (yes I Know its B&W) were too similar and gave banding, so I used Gaussian blur to minimize it tho theres room for improvement.
Very dramatic image from the low viewpoint. Like it very much.
Never has an old tractor been photographed so often. Iconic almost - great angle . You seem to be about 3 feet below ground for this angle !!! Great shot
