From my visit to Grosmont last year, I must go back !!!
This is a new processing style (well its my second attempt at it) so I would like to hear what you think. The first attempt was here
I think its superb PPing mate. Please tell me how - its great.
The image itself is a cracker too.
Great mono ;O)
Pings out the detail Nick.
Great expression, and great detail.
Good on skin tone and look of determination.
Cracking mono. Geoff
Tremendous portrait - would also be interested in how you achieved the great result..Jo
Excellent - a captivating study.
Thanks for the comments. Jo & Ian I will drop you a PM later.
A great portrait shot and the texture of the processing is perfect. Well done.
excellent, a really great candid capture and a conversion that is in keeping with the feel. Nice one Nick
Super work Nick what ever you have done works perfectly
Like the details and tones in this Nick - good work.

... giving away secrets now are we?
Nicely done mate, might've been tempted to just lift his eyes a fraction ... make them white, but without them glowing. Nice mono though!!!
Thanks everyone, maybe I could have lifted the eyes a fraction more Paul ill have a look at the tiff, I had already dodged it a little. Besides secrets what secrets
A good mono and candid Nick
The vignette adds focus to the subject, a very 'gritty' image.
Lovely image - looks like someone just told him the Stella Artois delivery is delayed...
fantastic crisp black and white shot
An excellent candid Nick, perfect in mono, really brings out the detail - like the contrast!
Thanks everyone I'm shocked how well this has done for a mono
New processing works a treat...cracking pic Nick..
A great candid shot Nick and super mono work.
Great moody capture. I love it.

I keep looking at him, waiting for him to speak.
I wonder what he's about to say and who is going to be on the receiving end. Hmmm, glad it's not me. Love it. helen
quite like the pose and expression on the bokes face - the processing... he looks like he's made from Terra Cotta in a way, ceramic skin.
It's interesting - works better on someone like this rather than a lovely lady
It's not one I'd use, but I look forward to seeing some more to see how it affects other people's skin
Thanks everyone ... Thanks team very shocked as it seems a long time since I posted it.
Your right Ade it does depend on the subject and for the porcelaine skin the larger its viewed the better (the thumb looks very false) in print it really shines.
I will be doing others but the subject has to be right - I have one of another tog from a trip round Leeds I might just have a go at (tho it takes ages)
Well done with the HC Nick
Fine work Nick. You've worked really hard with your monos and the results show that the efforts are paying off!!
Now, for those special 'secrets' of yours I'm always willing to receive a PM
I hope that things are going well,
Thanks for the user award Michelle
a fine candid...love the tones...great conversion
