Snowdrops by Alda

Snowdrops

Almost perfect. A little tidying up of the twigs and branches, especially the one in the upper right background, would make it even better. Love the clarity and rich colours.

Lunchtime in Paris by Mackem

Lunchtime in Paris

The first word that came to my mind was "excellent". Then I realised several others had had the same idea! Really sums up how great the shot is.

Chalkhill Blue Butterflies by Steve012345

Chalkhill Blue Butterflies

Great capture! The limited depth of field makes me wonder if your aperture wasn't greater than f/11? Was there love in the air? Which is male and which is female?. Bet your guess is as good as mine.

Cheers,

Nick.

Boat, Loch Voil

What a crisp shot. Full marks for capturing the mood. Brilliant!

Different to see one like this in monochrome. Good shot, though it would have been better without the twigs in the right upper quadrant. They conflict too much with the smoothness of the water in flow.

The hunt by ianrobinson

The hunt

Cracking shot. Great viewpoint. Long zoom creates the impression you were sitting just beneath the action! Perhaps you were!

Owl Eyes by stu7131

Owl Eyes

Striking! The severe crop enhances the shot but unfortunately highlights the fact that the eyes are not in sharp focus. I would do my best to repeat the shot aiming to get the eyes in focus for an A*. Slightly greater depth of field or more selective focus on the eyes. Great shot nevertheless!

Regards,

Nick.

Butt by Tezz450D

Butt

Nice shot. Like the crop. Can't help feeling a bit uneasy though: It's like I have my face right next to the rear end of the animal and I don't know what's going to hit me next. lol!

Alpacas by scotjames

Alpacas

Such a charming shot. It's a real shame about the distracting background, but there's not a lot you could have done about it. I'm a novice at photoshop but maybe it might offer a solution for this remarkable pose,

Nick.

MALDON by gary_carter

MALDON

This is a scene I immediately recognised having been there many times meself. Like the way the composition emphasises the sky and incorporates the full length of the mast of the boat. Nicely taken,

Nick.
