We have just spent a week in Scotland. We broke our Journey up there at a B&B very near Castlerigg. Although there had been light on the surrounding peaks, this was the first direct light on the stones as the sun cleared the ridge to my right. I like the light, shadows and sky, and hope you do too.
EDIT: 9pm (ish) Following several comments suggesting a Pano crop, I have uploaded a panoramic version as V2. Unfortunately, as V1 was not uploaded as a Panoramic image, V2 is limited to 1000 pixels wide.

Must say I'm definitely on the side of the pano crop but at the same time agree with you on keeping the sky
Go to the Lakes regularly but still gotta do Castlerigg
