This is a Mono version of a very old upload. It may seem counter intuitive converting a sunrise to mono, but I like the end result. I do hope I'm not alone in that!

Your not alone Nigel, very nice
Mark.........................
B&W allows the eye to linger on the details - the streaks of mist, the textures in the field.

Haven't seen your work for a while Nigel, atmosphere to spare in this, sunrise to mono was well worth doing when the result is as good as this,
great image,
Adrian
This is really beautiful, and so love the atmosphere & mood
Nikki !
Lovely misty sky and fine tones, a great monochrome conversion Nigel, the perfect crop too, fine work my friend.

Thanks all. Ian, you are quite right, ideally I should be using a tripod and a smaller aperture. Back in 2007, I didn't use a tripod as often as I do now, and on that morning I hadn't taken one. now I would be much more likely to take this using a tripod.
Nigel
I like the placement and the isolation of the tree. Works very well as a mono!
