Once again thank you for all the votes and comments on yesterday's upload, very much appreciated.

A Meadow Brown for today. I must admit that i often overlook this species as it's so numerous and it's markings are rather innocuous at first sight. However closer inspection reveals a beautiful array of brown and orange hues aswell as that wonderful eye. Ofcourse it does help when they are nectaring on a beautiful flower such as this Scabious.

Thanks for looking.

You have yet again produced an image of outstanding quality. The pin sharp quality is second to none. A real pleasure to both view and admire.

Regards Nathan

A fabulous close up of this underated and unassuming butterfly Nigel, you've captured its colours and wing markings quite beautifully.

It does tend to be an overlooked BF - this image proves they are worth attention. Immaculate detail Nigel.
Brian.

A really lovely butterfly and as pointed out a wonderful eye - something we may often overlook.
You always capture your butterflies on beautiful flowers.
