It was an inset day at school today so i went to Cannock Chase with my dad. I saw lots of birds and this was my favourite photo from the day, it was taken from the car using a beanbag.

This is brilliant Ben, such amazing detail and a wonderful pose polished off with that gorgeous two tone autumnal backdrop. I know this image was only slightly cropped and slightly sharpened, so you're getting my UA for a job well done!

Super detail and sharpness complimented beauttifully by that gorgeous background - at f4.5 what was the shutter speed as I have been trying to get one as good as this for ages and they always come out soft. I'm using the Canon 100-500mm superzoom.

On my shortlist as I love the colours you have captured here especially that blue glint in the tail
