Thought we'd have a bit of fun with his one today and not tell you all what it exactly is until tomorrow. No prizes or anything but a lot of kudos to the folk who guess correctly when I'll upload a version that shows the creature in it's entirety. I won't tell anyone the answer till tomorrow so those who think they've got it right will have to wait till then and you can all walk around for the rest of the day with a feeling of smugness ![]()
Shot was taken yesterday in between showers out in the garden and is an 18 frame stack using a bit of fill flash to help lift the details a little, background was a skyblue T-shirt that I used to try and protect the subject a little from the wind as he wasn't very big......oooh, big clue there?
Thanks for looking in and hope you enjoy the image even if you can't work out exactly what it is?

o.k. you win with this one
The eyes remind me of a fly ... but the hairyness & antenae seem wrong.
look forward to finding out tomorrow ![]()
I could have done with your lens with my upload today ..![]()
You're stunning, that's what you are! (A Lepidoptera butI don't know which one)?
Certainly some hary biker with funny glasses.
Amazing portrait.
Christ just says: It is Sarkozy after the elections
Astonishing detail in this impressive extreme close up Ade. I reckon it is a butterfly too and will say it is a member of the white family. There are several types on the wing in some areas at present but I reckon this may be a green veined white and a female of the species
And I bet I know where it was taken, down on the Somerset Levels no doubt!![]()
Mmmmm, well, that's pretty easy, and I think I can say, without fear of contradiction.... I haven't got a clue ![]()
Although I did hazard a guess at something with wings ![]()
. Guess. I'm not going to do too well in the 'end of terms' ![]()

You heathen Sylvia......No such thing to us Lepidopterists as a "CABBAGE WHITE"
Small White, Large White, Wood White and a whole plethora of other whites, but a Cabbage, oh no no no........I've known people be shot for making such a remark!!! ![]()
But here's a large clue, it's none of the one's I've just mentioned.......I'll give Sylvia half a mark for saying White though.

No clue but stunning photography Ade.
