A few trees, a bit of hazy sun....& 'distress' it a bit, & we have...................
Many thanks everyone for the great response to 'A Little Light Reading'....& special thanks to Sue, Carol, & Saeid for your valued UA's...very grateful !!.
Fantastic The image itself is beautiful but the rumpledness gives it such a cool edge.
Like the effect
Not sure that I like the 'creased' sky, but love the rest of it Carol
I like what you've done here - love that texture.
Think you and I have similar taste in beauty.
A really fantastic image. Well done
An image which has clearly been thought through and crafted from a great mind.
Looks like a screen print Well done.
Discovered in the depths of some aged cabin trunk, I think! Works really well.

Like the contrast between the two colour halves of the image; also the sky is intriguing!

A few things need ironing out but not bad at all

bit too much of the wrinkles for me, but then I got enough of them in my face now

Great texture and tones
Nice texture and work.
every picture tells a story and to me this one is of astounding complexity !
Are the trees for real or manipulated ?
All in all one of the best photos I have seen in a long time
great work very nice image karen
Hi 'Slowfoot'......the base image, trees, hillside & sky are the original shot, just turned Sepia....no other processing !
The final image as you see it is just an added texture of old wall-paper blended with the original for the 'old-painting' effect......
Thanks for the interest, hope that explains everything........
Love this shot
A great idea,well created,nice one.
Those sure look like ancient trees. Love the sepia presentation.
Lovely toning to the image of the winter tree and the tracery of the branches against the BG.
Unusual texture layer that reminded me of my first attempt at wallpaper hangingm many years ago. Sorry Keith.
!!!.....Dougie I'm sure your wall-papering skills match your camera skills now !!!!
Fantastic, the distressed fabric layer looks like branches trying to break through.,.. nice work.
