The last few Poppy stragglers on the edge of a farmers field, from a couple of weeks ago.......
The shot is with a Samyang 8mm fish-eye, with the nearest Poppy about 3" in front of the lens.......I wanted a strong
'presence' of the Poppies, but retain the sky/clouds with the backlighting from the sun......hope you like.......![]()
Thanks everyone for the C&C's on 'Hartsop in Patterdale', & to Martin & Robert for the UA's......well appreciated !!!!!

Love the low viewpoint Keith, this is where a Fish-eye comes into its own, composed and exposed perfectly.

Trev.
Now this is exactly how a fisheye should be used, Keith. An obvious effect without being overdone. Excellently taken and composed to bring out the best of the main subject without losing any of the impact created by the sky.

Very effective use of the lens, Keith, emphasis on the poppies but keeping the field and sky in shot.

Such a beautiful picture, love poppies just wish I had taken this shot
Shows perfectly why a FE lens in the right hands can deliver images with impact. Superb shot, Keith.
