I've had my eye on this 'tater field for a while, waiting for the right light.....
A couple of weekends back it all came together for me....the local farmers field is
in South Staffs, but looking out to the skies over Shropshire beyond the fields...............
Many thanks for the response to 'A little bit of England'.....glad you liked it !!

The right light for a 'tater field is after dark when the 'taters are ready for pulling up! Not that I am encouraging anything not strictly honest.mind you![]()
The light is absolutely critical here, as you say. To give the contrast needed to those ploughed rows, make the tree and hedgerow a silhouette feel and of course the right amount of interest in the sky. It all came together and was worth waiting for the right day, Keith.

As you say, it's all come together, Keith - the sky, light on the field, and the tree silhouette. Excellent image.
Dave
Fantastic sky and lines from the furrows - well composed shot
Helen
Strong image.
I also have my eye on a field like this.......... and there's also a badger living in a small hollow at the bottom of a tree there, so fingers crossed.

As a Shropshire resident I will probably be accused of heavy bias, but ooh, yes I do like this image.
I,m really enjoying your English countryside images Keith. This one has come together beautifully

You have made excellent use of the light, and I like the rays coming through that far cloud.
Anne
Simple composition with wonderful textures and light, a well found image that reeks of England.
Dougie
A beautifully composed image with the excellent lighting and the furrows converging onto the tree. I like it very much.
