Taken at the Cotswold Wildlife Park using my Nikon D90 and 55-300mm lens, I waited ages for this little Meerkat to go to the top of this tree trunk, and throwing the background out of focus by using an open aperture makes the shot look a little more natural.

i, recently , shot meerkats at edinburgh zoo. they are wonderfully curious and seem to enjoy being photographed.
