I uploaded a couple of Lensbaby shots of this grave in Brompton Cemetery last year. Since then I have been back to a more conventional image of the same subject and reworked it in Nik Silver Efex Pro, and I like the results.
Thanks for looking,
Moira

The mono does reflect your title well, Moira. I remember her in her 'green' garb looking like a woodland nymph.

The statue sits well among the foliage and your composition is great.

Great tonal range and compo, a lovely mono, Moira. It speaks nothing of death to me, though. A beautiful statue of the angel.

A rather foreboding title one thinks, the monochrome adding to that feeling.

Interesting responses. I certainly see her as an aggressor, she just needs a spear in that raised hand.
I don't follow Doctor Who, but my daughter said this reminded her of the Weeping Angels. Who I gather are not nice angels.
Thanks everyone.

Mono changes the mood of this entirely - she does look ready to do battle against evil forces.

About to bring her arm down, thus summoning Death. She seems suitably evil and extremely concentrated, Moira. The idea of her lurking in the bushes (though goodness knows why someone so powerful would feel the need to do so) adds to the feeling of an aggressor.
