This is one from last year and is for Lillian showing the remains of a storm battering the quay at Portreath.
Hopefully we will get some more good storms this winter.
Thanks so much for the comments and clicks on storm and others, really appreciated.
All the best Nick
I love the light behind this wave, fantastic!
Very powerful - and super light coming through the waves
The timing and light are both excellent.
The light and tones in that crashing wave are very beautiful, though I wonder how many others would think of a mighty storm and look forward to it with pleasure!
Wonderful , as mentioned above the angle of light makes this for me, and i love Cornwall in all its extremes and youve caught it so well.
Nikshot, you continue to set me on edge, wanting to get down there again, but Doc says no to travelling that far again. Great shot , keep them coming I love it down
Love this one Nik super capture and great light.well done.
Excellent !! This is a superb capture !!
A powerful capture with some lovely light coming through the wave, Nick.
Thought I was going to see a photo of Julian Clary when I saw the caption Nick! Composed and exposed to perfection, the light is magic.
That is awesome Nick.
I want to go there next time please...
Never knew storm chasing was so much fun..just need the wind and a high tide there
the colours in that wave, stunning as is those waves..a winning shot
Very well capture Nick, love the light, I can see a tree in that wave.
Whoa! User award heaven!!! Thanks so much.
I did suggest this place Lillian but then again the wind was not quite in the right direction.
Another day maybe?
I thought it a was a sub but on a closer look it's not but it could have been!!!. lol. nice shot.
Fantastic shot Nick, its a big POOF!!
This is a cracker; a very well-timed shot. I love the colour in the wave.
You've captured this really well.
Conveys a sense of real power Nick. Well timed and captured
Now that's what I call a wave!
You're just trying to beat the girls!
Well timed and some good light to make the wave and tower stand out
Perfect light showing the impact so great
Brilliant timing to catch the waves breaking against the outer harbour wall. A very dramatic and rough seascape indeed
