Thought I might have a go at the Saturday shadows thing so here goes. This is the memorial to JFK in the Park Nazzjonali Tas-Salini or for most of us Melita Gardens Salima on Malta. The railings cast a shadow of the stars and stripes across the bronze plaque from every angle of the sun.

From the thumb I thought this was a circular stairway. The stars & stripes effect of the shadows is very appropriate...was it deliberately designed this way? I wonder why Malta of all places has a memorial to JFK? Interesting.

This has a lot going for it. I like the shadows -- including yours. And, I ike that you gave us all this background. I had no idea that this memorial existed.
A lot of Americans my age have fond memories of JFK and still mourn his tragic passing.
