Similar shot as posted the other day, only this time the magnification is greater. No it's not a crop either
However, would anybody like to comment on what's going on in the large droplet in the picture????.......We think there's a spider leg trapped in the web/water where it comes out of the orb at the top right. Also look carefully at the top and left side of the orb too as it looks like it might well be a spider and that she has been spinning her web whilst inside the orb? See the milky strands?......But were open to interpretation if anybody geels differently.
Amazing sometimes what you see in an image after you get it up on a large screen.....BTW way look carefully, you can also see my house in the reflection....
Not as sharp as the last spider web image, but we thought it interesting and worth posting all the same......Comments on what's going on welcome though.
Off to Slimbridge today, so carct up with everyone later......Regards...Ade

Wow! That is stunning! I'm envious. The cost of a macro lens for my digital Nikon is crazy and I don't dare to use my old one.
Superb close-up Ade, difficult to be sure what it is really. Some spiders put something like small coils in the web construction that allows the web to flex alot when a large insect hits it. There definately looks to be some foreign object mixed in. Great work though Ade, like the reflections of your many houses. ![]()

An amazing piece of macrowork Ade, you are working wonders with your new lens.
had a good look and of course I see the reflection not sure what else is going on - hope Slimbridge went ok. I want to go back there but its a fair ole journey for me
This must be about the best spider web shot i've seen. Great find and capture.
Deserves my ua.
Very well done.
