This is a great image.
There is very strong and well thought out composition which as a bonus is also good lead in. Well complemented by the 'cool' colour.

Hi Helen, yes is did use HDR because i wanted to bring out some of the detail in the dark foreground rocks. Well i try to keep my HDR work looking as natural as possible sothe 'painterly effect' maybe from that of from exposures up to 5 secs.
