A Coldstream Guard would have been proud of her, left, right, left right towards this crumbling wall, would she look up? No! Click....
Nice work, David. Well seen.
Hello David ... I like the colours and the composition here, whilst the patterns on the wall provide extra interest. *click*
Wonderfull shot David, love the wall and the way the Nun blends in with it..click
brilliant shot David ! Click**
Very nice shot, I love the colours and the angle
Thanks folks... there's more nuns to come, I spent the day at St. Peters yesterday waiting for miracles to happen... three or four did
EC material David, I love Nuns and this is a noble gentle image of one,
Well David be proud, very proud this is a wonderful photo full of atmosphere, great texture and mood.
Brilliant, what a composition, what a wall, what colours, I love it.
Great candid shot...Click
Said I wouldn't comment, as we're about to leave on hols, but this is great, David!
See you in 2 weeks.
Very good shot, the nun is in just the right place in the frame and the typical Italian wall has great textures. Well done.
Brilliant. Fantastic textures and matching colours. Great composition. Click.
Very well captured. I don't think you could've had a better background.
an absolute, no questions, straight out of the top drawer, cracker.
A great image,love the colours
I really like this. Subject fits well with background.
Its the angle that makes the difference to this shot in my view. Lower down it would just be a Nun against a Peeling Wall. This adds a strange perspective to the image. A nice touch of motion blur in the raised foot too.
Cracking natural image. Well done.
Brilliant David - it is great. Lourens
Very well caught. Aidan
Well done David.
Excellent shot David, congratulations.
Told you so David!! Am soo pleased for you, this one I would buy! (And treasure)
Thank you everyone.... comments on the wall are interesting since for me it's the background and the angle that really make it.
I spotted the position and sat there for about an hour waiting for something to happen... as you can all see, it did.
beautiful picture David, the exposure is perfect, the composition, colours, well everything! great work.
Excellent image, the echo of colour in the wall and the nun's habit seem to hint a the age and decay of the Church. Well done and congrats on the EC.
This is excellent - love the effect of the old wall against her neatness - as opposed to other interpretations it could symbolise the good striving amidst decay
Well done on your patience and the EC
Great composition,Lovely coloration..ahh the e20p.....nice work!
Beautiful an outstanding image & deserves the merit.
Fabulous photo, the crumbling old wall as backdrop for her intensity is wonderful! Congrats on well deserved EC.

So sorry I missed this mate,it's beautiful well captured candid.
A well deserved EC my friend.
Wanderful photo,congratulazioni piu' che meritato!!!
Besides the obvious I like the movement in her foot.
Great photo, - her expression is so determined, reminds me of the nuns who beat me up in school as a kid!
Well done, and congratulations on the EC
The colours are wonderful.Did you use a filter or warm up the background in some way?
Jane, I added a touch of warmth with an orange filter in photoshop leving the nun untouched... the main reason for the colour however is playing with the levels in photoshop to give it more 'umph' otherwise the wall is as you see it
A great capture David . Your patience was rewarded.Congratulations on your EC , so well deserved
beautiful shot - great texture
Superb use of tone/colour. Nice jaunty angle too, sort of fits her walk (I imagine)
Well spotted! And well recorded.
like the delapidation f the wall...it comes across as a great contrast agaisnt the nun's habit..congrats
