The Paralympics Opening ceremony continued - the athletes arrive. I took many photographs of the flag bearers and companions as they passed my location at the opposite side form the entrance. I also tired to catch the flavour of the moment...
We start with the disco trio wheeled into the stadium to play rhythmic music throughout the sequence and the Afghan team leading the way.
We move on to a close up of the Afghanistan group as they passed me and then another view of the disco - I could not believe how the whole thing seemed to be on wheels and connected by a single cable, and how the lady "Goldierocks" kept dancing for mare than 75 minutes as the teams arrived.
After some more team flags and a colourful Mexico team, at last the UK arrives. I was completely caught off guard by the sudden emotion of the audience (we were all on our feet) and the music and effects... my photos do not do the moment justice.
There's more to come... if you can stick with me!
