The Madeiran sub-species of the common chaffinch, photographed against a waterfall near Rabacal.
It and its friends were used to walkers picnicking at this spot and gathered for crumbs. So it was quite tame and I was able to hold my G11 at arms-length and at maximum zoom, a short distance from the bird.
