Welcome to EPZ Ann.

This is a nice shot of a beautiful dog. Its nicely exposed, and hes posing well. Its not easy to get it very sharp with the coat moving in the wind, but youve done a good job.

A couple of tweaks can make it even better; brighten the dog using a curves adjustment on the dog only; sharpen overall (you need to do this after you re size for uploading).

Thats about it,- all done in the mod,

Hope this is helpful,

Regards

Willie

Hallo Ann I have done a mod for your perusal. Nice pose by your doggie, you have done everything right by getting down to the subjects height and composing a close crop frame, however the metering on your camera took the whole of the scene and had caused the camera to record a darker foreground and a lighter background. This can be overcome in the RAW stage of processing.
Hope this is of help.

very noble pose, the backround blends nicely, or even compliments the coat...
