Not your typical nature shot or macro but magical Smile

Bridgescape

A great result. The original looks so dull - had it been mine I would have given up on it (and I would have been wrong to), but you've achieved a great B&W conversion from it. For me the solarisation is what makes it work - making the image really strong and full of dramatic contrast.
As far as the crop is concerned - both versions have their own interpretation and work just as well. V1 gives me lots of impressive sky. V2 gives me the powerful expanse of the bridge. It really depends on what works for you and to judge from the title you wanted the bridge to stand out Smile
Nice one - well seen and well processed Smile

Quote: Verynice.

I might be tempted to clone out the 3 black planks on RH edge?

I totally agree - it will improve the image. The only tension and mystery I get from them is the distraction they cause me Wink They look more like a blemish on the negative than an intentional inclusion in the frame Smile

Otherwise a great capture - I like the tones - from almost pure white to pure black; and a perfect composition.

Should work well as BW, with a ghostly shape on the right to balance it out.

I like the moody atmosphere and the blue toning. Good composition with the chain pulling you into the image. A good record shot Smile

Or if you've been knocked off your bike and this is what the world looks like just before you get run over Tongue

An interesting concept - this is what the earth looks like when approached from the side if you try to ignore what the brain is screaming at you. I can see that the world IS round Grin

Or simply an accident Wink

Excellent. Love the pose, the expression, the flawless skin and the toning.

Great sky. Well seen Smile

Into the storm

Great sky and rain curtain. Not sure about the man. Maybe he's too large in the frame - I think I would have preferred to see more of the storm and have the man dwarfed by it. That's the way I see it anyways Smile

I like the colours and the colour split of the photo. I like the red exclamation mark of the sail (I'd get rid of the tiny blob on the horizon next to it). There does seem to be something missing though - the image is so abstract that it cannot exist as a straight photo - for me it needs to be more painterly, more abstract. I wish I knew what I was on about, but I hope this helps in some way Grin

What attracted me to your image were the colours. At first I was hoping for a bit more definition (sharpness), but I see your point. The way I perceive it - focusing on the soft colours in the sky, I find the brightness of the water a touch distracting, although at the same time it provides a frame for the hills in the centre of the image. Maybe I'd shave off a tiny bit off the bottom of the frame Smile I think you deserve more votes than this.

Best wishes,

WOW! What a weather! This is a super image - love the diagonals of the hills, the way they come to a point at the bottom. You've captured nature at its most powerful. This deserves more votes. If I'd come across your image sooner, you would have had my user award.

Great photo experiment. My first thought was: did the aliens answer? Sorry, I have an awful sense of humour Smile

Best wishes

You do like your smudged window texture Smile
Wonderful portrait. By the way she seems to have a little spot by her chin - you may want to Photoshop it out Smile
Excellent photographic work.

Lovely colours and clouds. Taken through a smudged window? Would adding a texture disguise the smudges?
