I think you were almost there. I like the hair definition against the background on the left, and her pose is good. I would have made the lighting a bit more dramatic - more shadow on the right to almost completely hide her arm, also the nose shadow on the face would be a bit more flattering. Watch your crop too - the theory says we shouldn't crop across a natural body joint, like the wrist. I hope this helps.
