Shot in the shade on a so-so bright day. The person seen a couple of seconds ago was singing in another position. The camera was his and this was a moment of thinking. Looking at it, I see I got his ear, as well as his full elbow chopped, but this was shot as an impromptu image, rather than a studio shot. I am glad I captured his expression right there. The blue can on the window sill is the only bit of striking colour - all the other colours look bleak, bleak as a separation can be. I am not sure if depicting his I reflect on what I fear for mine. It's part of the frame deliberately.... I think there was orange juice in the glass, I remember zooming but leaving the ambiguity of alcohol consumption there.
