night swan

night swanLovely light & colour ... the swan bathed in light

you know I knew nothing about PS until I started here, I used to get stuck so many times but with the help of others & just playing with PS on an image to see what each thing did you get used to it ...
a simple way to straighten your horizon is just click
Image
select rotate canvas
then select arbitrary
you then tilt it either to the right or left in .25 --- .05 ... 1,2, 3 & so on till you get it level not hard just need to practice
I'm about always happy to help, just send me a message, I'll help if I can ... thanks Paddy

Touch me

Touch meI like this very much, the light says so much ...
I would have cropped the top light aways just to where the wrist bends into the hand, so your eye is lead down the dark & light of the hand to the soft sensual tones below,
Having the light above takes your eye up & down rather than to where the subject is going, just my thoughts ..., think it would give a more dramatic finished look ... beautiful work & thought .. Paddy

Cleo in the dark

Cleo in the darkhello & welcome nice to see your work, this is really lovely, you can use the burn brush on a real low level to burn in the BG a little at a time, a good technique to master for unwanted bits & pieces on your work .. the heal brush is also very useful tool, also when you downsize your image it looses sharpness just use sharpen edges to bring it back, you can always lessen it once you have used this ..., if you ever want any help I will if I can, this site has taught me so much ... Short Finals

Short Finalswildlife & flowers are a really good subject to do macro on, the bees are working overtime at the moment after so much rain ...
I would burn in gentley in PS the OOF flower to the top & some of the leaves that are OOF around the edge ... giving the main focus to the main leaf, flower & bee ...
nice work SmilePaddy

Light Me

Light MeI like this alot, one thing her OOF hand keeps taking my eye, takes the line away from her body and leads me to the knee, maybe it should be by her side or aross her stomach, what do you feel, this is just what I see when I look, has she a ring on the OOF hand making a light ?... mmmmmmm ... but excellent work, love the feeling, relaxed not a care .. I also have a thing about rings on hands when your doing this kind of work find they distract from what your trying to say with this picture, the focus is on the red nails and her smoking and relaxing .. I like my nudes nude if you know what I mean unless the rings are saying something .... just me SmilePaddy

watching the sun set

watching the sun setnice work, its always difficult working into the sun & with a dark edge, I feel the person needs to be more into the picture so he is not caught in the dark side strip as his body gets merged in & is not so defined, you have captured a wonderful feeling with the sky & the reflection of the tree a picture in its self, the colours are magic as only that time of day can give SmileP
