Hi All.
This is my first go of taking an image using a black background,this flower is in a pot in our garden and is the first one to flower this year,taken this morning and still had some dew drops on it.

I think you have captured this vibrant orange lily beautifully, Alec: the detail is excellent, it is well lit and with the black b/g which I too favour for single flow blooms the subject stands out so well, almost in 3D. Even as a thumbnail, it is quite impressive and cries out for a larger viewing.

(PS. The only other thing I might add is that it might be worth considering for such a shot using the ePHOTOzine black background rather than the white......that can really make an even more dramatic statement........R)
